Sorcerer is hero 301, using Staff and Orb. Lightning is a cooldown-based area skill with 1050 range, described as firing current forward for lightning damage; Flame Hydra adds summoned fire damage. The speed-farm build depends on cooldown, cast speed, area and positioning.
Lightning coverage and cast rhythm
The rhythm comes from keeping Lightning cycling: push area effect to about 410%+ so Lightning covers a full wave, target about 75% cooldown reduction, then pair Frozen Orb to reach roughly a two-second Lightning cycle. After range and cooldown are in place, use the level 80 Sorcerer weapon, Priest Strength Blessing, and Mystic Topaz for damage.
Gear and stat checks
For Torment 3-9 speed farming, treat area scaling as the first hard gate. The tested route targets roughly 410% or higher so Lightning can cover a full wave. Area can come from skills, socketing and high-tier rolls; weapon-side checks include Black Pearl and Demon Blood, while hand-slot checks include Diamond and Minotaur Foot.
Cooldown reduction is the second gate. Lightning has a long base cooldown, so read the target as roughly 75% cooldown reduction; with Frozen Orb, the rhythm can approach one Lightning every 2 seconds. Damage is usually covered by a level 80 Sorcerer weapon and Priest Strength Blessing, with lightning or attack damage rolls filling any gap.

The first bottleneck in Torment 3-9 speed farming is wave-clear efficiency. Finish the area effect, cooldown reduction, and Frozen Orb rhythm first, then add damage and map speed; that is steadier than only stacking rarer gear.
Item names or stat rolls first?
Confirm gear type and level first, then check cooldown, cast speed, area and damage rolls. Matching names without the right rolls can still underperform.
When is Torment 3-9 worth farming?
Farm it when wave clear is stable, boss time is controlled and teammate speed does not disrupt the rhythm. If 31 waves feel messy, step down and improve gear rolls first.
